I had to do a more upbeat post than last week’s because I have some catching up to do, and part of that is some lovely, beautiful news to share.

A month ago (A WHOLE MONTH AGO) my gorgeous boyfriend turned into my wonderful fiance, and I became the luckiest bride-to-be in the world.

It happened while we were on holiday in New York, after a carriage ride through Central Park, and on Bow Bridge overlooking the lake.  It was the most magical setting, with my favourite person in the whole world – and provided many an excited photo!

Right now we’re getting the ideas ready, and heading into full planning mode in the New Year, but for now I’m just enjoying being engaged to my best friend.

New York was scary and overwhelming, but this is one thing in my life right now that is just perfect.

He liked it.  He put a ring on it.
